
About The Chef

My name is Carmen Samaniego and Ive been a French trained Chef for 15 years and recently (# years ago) started making pizza as a hobby. We started Angelenos' Wood Fired Pizza as a pop up- then to a wood fired pizza truck and now we also have a pizzeria in Long Beach @AngelenosPizza. My husband Daniel and I put our hearts and souls into what we serve on a daily basis with a stellar crew we call "the pizza pirates".
Coming from a family of bakers, making wood fired Neapolitan style pizzas was exciting to me! I thought to myself, if I'm going to recreate such a beautiful tradition and make it my own I better do my own homework. So I did, I used all the time I had at home during the pandemic-doing the research, reading tons of books, attending online seminars in Italy, and I tested many techniques in order to perfect the pizza dough.
Im proud to also say that we recently won Hulu's newest pizza competition show #BestInDough because of our fantastic dough.

Wood-Fired Pizza On Wheels
Angelenos Wood Fired Pizza is dedicated to providing the highest quality Napoli-style pizza in the Greater Los Angeles area. Founder Chef Carmen Samaniego has crafted an amazing menu that spans a variety of palettes. Angelenos also does private events, where we will arrive at the location with a mobile pizza oven. There will also be upcoming items that will be posted on the site in the future.
